Only Time Will Tell

Just eighteen

In all of her years

Eons older than the rest of her peers

A delicate flower

Beginning to bloom

All heads turn when she enters the room

She keeps to herself

A loner by choice

Content with the sound

Of her inner voice

She had the best teachers

They taught her quite well

Now only time is what will tell

Long tresses tumble and fall down her back

She tosses a smile and doesn’t look back
