Free the Weed

One of the things that really gets my goat

Besides self-serving, ignorant bigots

And pompous, self-righteous hypocrites

Are over-zealous policemen on dope

And stoners who won't admit that they toke

Smoking in shame inside of the closet

Next to the gays who won't come out of it

Burning their incense with little hope

For a timely end to the drug war

Doing nothing, sitting idly by

Until one day comes a knock at their door

And they are the next victim sacrificed

In a war on the sick and the poor

Free the weed

Stop the war
