Dear Lord

Dear Lord, grant me understanding, help me to be strong. Be patient if I seem demanding, you know sometimes I can be wrong. Forgive me for my selfish ways, wait for me if I'm delayed. One thing that I know is true, to be lost is to lose sight of you. Dear Lord, when I start to slip, help me get a better grip. When I feel I can't go on, give me strength to lean upon. Come tomorrow, come what may, we made it through another day. I need for you to walk beside me, push me, pull me, use me, guide me. And at the end of every day, as I come to you in prayer, restore my wonder and my faith, and thank you for being there.
